How much energy could a puppy possibly have?

We're on to day 4 and things are going pretty well. She's already outgrown her crate (ok so really it was too small to start with), although she sleeps through the night, the rest of the day she is a ball of energy. Things are going well and we're glad to have her as part of our family (the cats are only moderately glad, but they're getting there).
